Service Dispatcher

Job Location: Rolling Meadows, IL

Job Type: Full-Time

Required Experience: 2 years of dispatch experience and 2 years of customer service experience

 

Job Description:

The Service Dispatcher is a challenging position responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Chicago regional branch of the Support Department. The Service Dispatcher works with our clients to schedule service calls, installations, and onboarding of new customers. The Service Dispatcher is the primary contact for all service related questions, customer concerns, scheduling, parts acquisition, and follow through. This position is responsible for inventory control, supply acquisition, shipping, receiving, and mail handling.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with clients to schedule and coordinate all regional service calls
  • Work with clients, technicians, and sales staff to schedule and coordinate all regional installations
  • Schedule and dispatch technicians using a dispatching application
  • Debrief technicians with service description, customer and company expectations, and timeline
  • Diffuse and calm upset customers using our Core Values to come to a positive resolution
  • Maintain and control inventory
  • Work with corporate office to acquire parts for installations, service calls, and special orders
  • Shipping, receiving, and mail
  • Supply ordering for internal office use
  • Process Return Merchandise Authorizations
  • Escalate issues to Technical Managers as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Advanced customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to keep to our Core Values when dealing with difficult, or upset, customers
  • Ability to maintain focus in a highly intense environment
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize based on customer needs, potential downtime, and service level agreements
  • Geographical knowledge of service area, routing, and map-reading skills
  • Knowledge of computer technologies, and/or dental technologies are recommended
  • Computer skills
  • Two years related experience and/or equivalent education, training, and experience in customer service, dispatching, or project management
